David Schuweiler, DDS

General Dentist with Advanced Training in Dental Sleep Medicine and Invisalign

Dr. David Schuweiler's interests in biology and medicine led him to pursue a dental career. Before becoming a dentist, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Minnesota in 2008 and he taught general biology at a Twin Cities community college for two years. He has also been a researcher with an emphasis on cardiac and type II diabetes at the Lillehei Heart Institute and was a dental research fellow with a focus on oral head and neck cancers. He has presented his findings at several professional conferences. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Schuweiler completed an extensive one-year residency at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis. During his residency he learned advanced skills in prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures, partials), endodontics (root canals), periodontal surgery, oral surgery, full mouth reconstructions, dental sleep medicine, and managed medically complex patients. Dr. Schuweiler is certified in Invisalign (clear aligner) orthodontics and is actively involved in various professional dental study clubs.

Away from the practice, Dr. Schuweiler enjoys gardening, landscaping, bonsai trees, and makes sure to set aside time to fish the many beautiful Minnesota lakes. He is actively involved in his church and enjoys volunteering his time.
