A crown (often called a cap) covers the tooth and restores it to its original shape and size. Crowns can be made out of metal (such as gold), porcelain and metal or just porcelain. To achieve the most natural look possible, its best to use all porcelain.

A bridge is a great way to replace a missing tooth or teeth. A bridge that replaces one missing tooth is permanently cemented in the mouth by covering a tooth on either side of the missing tooth space with a crown. Bridges look and feel very much like your natural teeth.
